The Exchange Factor has been bringing the best in vintage to Charlreston for many years!  Shoppers in The Low Country first enjoyed this quality used-clothing shopping experience when owners Joan Graf and her husband Rick first opened the store in 1992.

Offering up a variety of clothing ranging from vintage goods to more recent name brands - all for low prices. Plentiful racks of men's and women's clothing include name brands like Gap, Banana Republic, Express, French Connection and even fashion couturiers such as Donna Karan and Versace.

The store's purpose is to promote recycling and reusing through buying, selling and trading clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. With 2 stores now open, these visionaries are continuing to spread their purpose. Shopping at The Exchange Factor is like "Christmas everyday."

Styles are diverse, ranging from leather pants to khakis. Prices depend upon the condition of the item, style and name brand. Most items are priced between $5 and $14. Some of the more popular items for both men and women are the designer label jeans, such as Gap, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Levi's.

Once you have found several possible purchases, there are several spacious dressing rooms where you can try on your finds.

At this store, there is no such thing as an "average shopper." Customers are all types and wear different styles of clothing such as eclectic punk, vintage, designer suits and ties, designer dresses and urban.
 

Clothing damaged in-store, not sold briskly, or left by customers adorne $2 racks and proceeds are given back to the community. 

Customers can do more than purchase clothing at the Exchange Factor. Clothing items and accessories from your closet may lead to a small profit with their buying policy. Customers can get 35 percent of the decided retail value in cash or store credit for clothing the store chooses to buy.
 

The Exchange Factor allows you to buy name brands, save money, sell your unwanted clothes and help local charities at the same time. One piece of advice: the streets surrounding the Downtown store has parking restrictions, so be careful where you leave your car.
